OUR MISSION

 

Intercoop acts as a link between members and suppliers. Our mission is to coordinate and optimise goods procurement for our members’ retail business through:

 

  • direct procurement from suppliers,
  • bundling of volume from the procurement of products and own brands,
  • purchase price negotiations with brand manufacturers at a European level,
  • provision of support in global business through local agents.

 

The strategic product categories are garden, pet, house and DIY products.

 

We offer suppliers access to 5.100+ stores across Europe

  • Approximately 75% of the volume comes from Europe, 25% is procured from Asia and Latin America.

ABOUT INTERCOOP

  • Intercoop House & Garden is Europe’s leading purchasing organisation for retail businesses with a cooperative back-ground. It has 14 members in 11 European countries. Between them, our members operate over 5.100 stores Europe-wide with an annual purchasing volume in excess of over € 3 billion, making them an integral part of central Europe’s retail land-scape.
  • Intercoop (IC) has its registered office in Biel/Switzerland and has an exclusive network of agencies and agents worldwide, giving our members direct access to suppliers from different regions of the world.
  • As a purchasing organisation, Intercoop consolidates 400 partners / suppliers from 31 different countries.
  • All members have an agricultural and in some cases coopera-tive background. Despite regional differences, this back-ground is the common denominator shared by our members, who, in addition to their agricultural activities, successfully run retail outlets.
