As early as twenty years ago, the Intercoop Europe Garden Center Group was founded by the then members. The objective was and is the cooperation and a unified marketing strategy between the Members around the world. Over time, the need for the international cooperation in this field has proven. This success allows our company to grow continually. Nowadays we have 14 European Members
2008 followed the step in the present business form: The Intercoop House & Garden Cooperative (IC) was set up as cooperative. We are ruled in accordance with the Swiss law. In July 2014 we finally transferred the headquarters from Dotzigen to Biel.
The sustainable and constant development is extremely important for us. Since 2014, the division «Procurement» has been well-developed. In order to deliver optimum services to our Members, we also cover the categories garden, small animals & agriculture, do-it yourself as well as household.
In the past years, great care has been taken for the conclusion of framework agreements. Our aim is that the IC can have worldwide around 400 preferred suppliers. by the end of 2018.
The responsibility is held by our president, Mr. Lukas Rosshart and by the CEO Juan Krapf and vice president, Mr. Ernst Hunkeler.
